Fueled by an education in art history, this blend is inspired by a stained glass window glowing in candlelight. Vespers occur commonly at nightfall, when the cathedral would be aglow with the light of candles burning. Gathering in the nave, the central location of a cathedral, those present would partake in quiet reflection, prayer, and song. This idea came to me after reminiscing on the beautiful stained glass windows in cathedrals studied while abroad.
Worn leather, oak bark, cyclamen, violet, orris, and plum are the key notes in this blend. This is Litt Wick’s recreation of the feeling of witnessing different colors of stained glass when dimly illuminated. Soft, stunning, and serene.
